Your questions, answered aloud.

CogniSee is a wearable computer-vision aid, not just for blind and low-vision people but also for workers on remote or hazardous sites. Press a button, ask about what’s in front of you, and hear the answer. Everything runs on the device, with no internet connection.

how it works

Press, ask, listen.

There is no screen to navigate and no app to open. CogniSee hears your question, looks at the scene in front of you, and answers out loud.

Press the button and ask

One physical button starts a question. Speak naturally, the way you would ask a friend standing next to you.

It looks and thinks, on the device

The camera captures what’s in front of you and a computer-vision model works out the answer on the wearable itself. Nothing is sent to a server.

It answers out loud

The answer is spoken back right away, so your hands stay free for a cane, a guide dog’s harness, or whatever you were holding.

[ what offline actually means ]

What the camera seesstays on the device.

each tick, one answer

on-device

Offline by design.

The camera, the model and the voice all live on the wearable. It keeps working on a remote site, underground, or anywhere the signal drops.

Everything on one device

Camera, microphone, vision model and speaker run together on the wearable, so an answer never waits on a server.

one device, no server camera, microphone, model, speaker

Nothing to upload

What the camera sees is processed where it was captured. No cloud service and no network connection are needed to get an answer.

where it stands

Built, filed and handed over.

CogniSee is past the idea stage. A working prototype exists, a patent application and a design application are filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and one device is already with a user.
